Keeping the Public Informed
Today I will mention that even if elected, I intend to keep a regularly updated blog running. I believe it is good for people who are interested to understand the political process as well as know what is going on in their city. Yesterday late in the day at my work, I received a call from a prominent St. Albert resident who was strongly suggesting that I drop out of the race for Mayor. Most disappointing to me about this call, was the fact that it was from a woman. I will now find the positive in this call. I will prove this person wrong by succeeding in all that she said I couldn’t. I will also take it as a compliment that I mattered enough for someone to make the effort at attempting to control my choices.
Have a lovely day all and thank you for taking the time to read my words.
I think that critisism can be helpful if it is contructive. I often find myself wondering what motivation an individual may have in offering critisism without offering a possible a solution. This can create a constructive dialouge, but to be negative just for the purpose of being just that is really a waste of time. That is why we have professional sports.
We all have an opinion and we should be asking the questions that need answers in order to collectively come up with a solution.
I applaud you for your efforts to be accessable to those who want to express their opinions and ideas. I think a leadership role is best served by someone who can put aside their personal agenda for the greater good. So far I like what I am reading about your views and vision for this wonderful city and will follow your campaign with interest. Good luck, I find your style rather refreshing.
