The Sun is a Gift

Picture a St. Albert that produces its own solar energy, picture beautiful solar sculptures in our downtown(the cutting edge of Art that’s constantly giving back ), picture eye-catching solar park benches in which you could charge your cell phone or computer or have free local Wi-Fi access. All of this technology is already being used. With the amount of highly educated and talented people we have in St. Albert we should be leaders in the latest solar technology. I have read of countries who already have plans in place to produce enough solar energy to eliminate many pollution producing power plants in just a short number of years. The Sun is perhaps one of our greatest gifts and we are not using this gift as we could. I would like to see a large focus on solar technology in St Albert. We are a city that is beautiful with green and I would  see solar as a way of preserving this.

Water is Life

I would like to see immediate repair efforts initiated for the Sturgeon River. The river has   to be a priority as it is the heart and life flow at the core of the city.  A renewed river could be the start of a a renewed city.

Talking Trash

I would like to see the garbage collection tags for St. Albert not have an expiry date. People have mentioned actually running around their home looking for extra garbage, when it is near time for their tags to expire. I believe that it’s all about value for a service and rewarding those who help the environment.
